Hi there!

My name’s Cal! I much appreciate your interest in my camera work, as it’s been one of my favorite pastimes for years. This in addition to being a mediocre musician, rollerskating, going to concerts, and vintage shopping. I started my business at the ripe old age of 14 and have quite enjoyed the journey of developing my personal style and adapting to different sorts of subjects.

My first real niche was equestrian portraiture, that is horses and their owners, as this was my sport in high school. I then moved to Gainesville to study at UF where I became enthralled by the vibrant local music scene. Inevitably I found myself photographing musicians, plus filming and editing for various live-recording projects. I’ve since been involved with several student films as assistant camera and camera operator, as well as writing, directing, and shooting my first independent short film Magnum Opus.

Looking forward, I’m leaning into cinematography as my primary focus. My time on set has only confirmed that I am happiest behind the camera, working with a crew to shape a brand new world in real time. Years of photography have prepared me for this role in the sense of understanding light: how it interacts with subjects, settings, and colors and how it can create very tangible moods in camera.

With that said, I will forever be a visual storyteller and a student of this craft. It would be an honor to help bring your creative vision to life, whatever form that may take.
